Eligible iPhone owners can now file claims in Apple’s $250 million Siri AI settlement
The class action lawsuit alleged that Apple created "clear and reasonable consumer expectations" during WWDC 2024 by previewing new AI features that were intended to launch alongside the iPhone 16. However, the iPhone 16 launched with limited capabilities despite being marketed as "built for Apple Intelligence." While the AI-upgraded Siri has since been released with iOS 27, Apple has denied any wrongdoing.
To be eligible for a payout, US residents must have purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Estimated payouts are approximately $25 per eligible device, though this amount could increase to $95 depending on the total number of claims filed.
Claimants must provide their name, contact information, and iPhone serial number on the settlement's official website. The deadline to file a claim is December 21, 2026.
