Desai joins Meta from MongoDB, where he served as President and CEO.

The new platform will provide access to Meta's full technology stack, including the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, and Muse Code. According to Meta, these tools are designed to help organizations of all sizes innovate and scale. Desai stated that the platform will focus on turning Meta's AI stack into deployable products and services, emphasizing that security and privacy are built into these enterprise products from the outset.
The leadership transition at MongoDB has had immediate market effects; shares of the database company dropped by more than 17% following the news of Desai's departure. MongoDB has appointed Dev Ittycheria, who previously served as President and CEO, as interim President and CEO while a permanent replacement is sought.
