Google Expands AI & Economy Research Program with New Experts
Anu Madgavkar and Daniel Rock will lead the effort as directors of the program. They will work alongside Alex Imas, Director of AGI Economics at Google DeepMind, and Zanna Iscenko, AI & Economy Lead in Google's Chief Economist's Office.
The expanded team focuses on core research areas including the future of work, productivity and growth, global technology diffusion, and the impact of AI on scientific discovery. These insights are intended to help organizations, workers, researchers, and policymakers navigate the economic transition.
The program's research will help inform future updates to ATLAS, an interactive open-access site launched by Google to track how people use AI tools at work and in daily life.
