Jeff Clark has proposed a new concept in his blog called "Prolific AI Psychosis." This refers to a state where a vast amount of deliverables (such as code or text) are generated by AI, yet they fail to enhance the true value of the work and instead diminish it.

As a characteristic of this phenomenon, Clark cites a lack of critical thinking, where users become unable to properly judge the quality of their own outputs. He points out that as technology for AI agents to autonomously execute complex tasks becomes more prevalent, the burden on humans to monitor and manage the accuracy of generated code and content increases, risking a scenario where developers lose sight of the original design intent and quality.

Clark argues that for AI to actually improve productivity, human judgment to evaluate the quality of deliverables, proper monitoring, and the establishment of boundaries to maintain life balance are extremely critical.
