OpenRouter has released model ranking data based on actual usage via its API.
According to the data, Grok ranks first in terms of processed tokens. Ox Alpha ranks second, followed by DeepSeek V4 Flash in third place.
The rankings are calculated based on the total sum of prompt and completion tokens. Variants, such as free versions, are aggregated individually.
The company explained that this metric indicates adoption rates and should be distinguished from quality or benchmark performance. Furthermore, it reflects only traffic routed through OpenRouter and does not represent overall market usage.
