Meta's AI agent app, Muse, is experiencing rapid growth in user adoption. According to estimates from Sensor Tower, Muse has reached over 3.4 million downloads following its September 8 launch. The app's growth accelerated significantly after Meta's annual Meta Connect developer conference this week, which featured various upcoming features such as video chat with Muse avatars and Mac computer use support.

Market intelligence data shows varying adoption figures: Apptopia estimates total downloads at 4.3 million, while Appfigures reports approximately 2.3 million installs. Sensor Tower noted that Muse's daily active users climbed 27% on Wednesday following the conference. The app has also secured top rankings on both the U.S. App Store and Google Play Store.
Alongside this user growth, Meta released Muse Spark 1.3, an update designed to enhance performance in agentic and coding tasks. The new model is optimized for long-horizon work, allowing it to manage multiple workflows within a single thread and better handle ambiguous prompts by asking clarifying questions.
Meta engineers reported that Muse Spark 1.3 is more efficient than its predecessor, using approximately 20% fewer tool calls and 25% fewer tokens during comparative testing. The model also features improved safety, demonstrating higher resistance to adversarial inputs and better calibration regarding its own capabilities and limitations. Muse Spark 1.3 is currently available via Muse Code and the Meta Model API.
