According to Meta, developers can use off-the-shelf ESP32 boards or Raspberry Pi devices to connect Muse to various components, including displays, buttons, sensors, and actuators. The software is released under the Apache License, Version 2.0.
In addition to the open-source release, Meta is providing a "Muse Home Link" gadget, which enables the AI agent to perform home automation tasks such as controlling lights or TVs. Meta Superintelligence Labs' Nat Friedman stated that 5,000 units of the Muse Home Link were manufactured, with shipping expected later this month. Users can currently join a waitlist for the device.
