The company is introducing live video conversations via a new "Muse Realtime Avatar" model, which will allow users to interact with the agent through a video call interface.

Meta also revealed plans to bring Muse to its smart glasses in the coming months. Through this integration, users can activate the agent by name to perform tasks such as guiding workouts, logging meals, or shopping for products being viewed. Additionally, Meta is developing "Muse Charm," a standalone hardware device with a screen and a fingerprint sensor designed to function without a phone. Zuckerberg stated the company aims to ship the Charm by December this year.
Despite these expansions, Muse faces practical and security-related challenges. Practical testing shows the agent can manage digital tasks like navigating forms or adding items to shopping carts, though it currently cannot make phone calls—a feature Meta says is under development. Furthermore, Amazon has begun blocking Muse from its site, stating that third-party agents must respect service provider decisions regarding participation.
The agent's extensive access to user data has also raised security concerns. macOS security expert Patrick Wardle identified a zero-day vulnerability that could allow locally run apps or terminal commands to gain access to a user's Muse account token. This is achieved by manipulating the endpoint where transcription occurs. While Meta has emphasized the security and privacy of its design, researchers suggest the architecture's design decisions grant extraordinary access to system resources.
