AI security startup Reco announced on Tuesday that it has raised $55 million in new funding, bringing its total capital raised to $140 million. The funding round included participation from AT&T via its venture arm, as well as Forestay and Quadrille Capital. This follows a $30 million Series B round completed in February.
Reco raises $55M to secure the growing ecosystem of AI agents
The startup has repositioned its core offering to address the rapid deployment of AI agents in corporate environments. While previously focused on mapping and securing SaaS and AI platforms, Reco now uses a context graph to connect agents to applications, people, accounts, and permissions. This allows security teams to monitor what an agent can access and restrict unnecessary permissions.
Reco's co-founder and CEO Ofer Klein stated that the company's valuation has more than doubled since February, reaching the "high hundreds of millions," though specific figures were not disclosed. The company currently serves over 100 customers, with approximately 40% of its business coming from the financial services sector. Klein noted that the company's annual recurring revenue is currently in the double-digit millions of dollars and expects it to triple this year.
The company plans to use the new capital to fund hiring, sales, partnerships, and customer support. Reco's platform currently integrates with more than 280 applications and utilizes browser and network signals to detect agents operating outside of directly integrated apps.
