On September 9, Apple announced that the Japanese version of its device voice assistant, "Siri AI," will be provided in October. While the English beta version has been available since the same day, support for other languages, including Japanese, French, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, is scheduled for October.

Siri AI is an updated version of "Siri" announced in June. It incorporates "Apple Intelligence," an AI feature based on the "Apple Foundation Model," a multimodal AI model developed in partnership with Google. Apple stated that by combining on-device processing with its "Private Cloud Compute" cloud service, the system ensures privacy while enabling search for messages, emails, and photos, as well as responses based on the recognition of on-screen content.

Apple Intelligence, the foundation of Siri AI, will be introduced on September 14, coinciding with the release of iOS 27. Compatible devices include the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro series, and Macs and iPads equipped with M1 chips or later. Note that some features may be unavailable depending on the region or language.
