Nvidia has announced a partnership with a total of eight cloud computing and data center operators in Australia to jointly expand the country's AI computing infrastructure. The partnership includes data center operators such as Firmus, AirTrunk, and NextDC, as well as network service providers like Megaport.

Under this framework, the partner companies will handle the construction and operation of data centers, while Nvidia will support the building of large-scale generative AI training and inference capabilities by providing GPUs, networking equipment, and software. The plan aims to provide up to 2GW (2,000MW) of AI computing capacity by 2027.

In a statement, Nvidia mentioned that the expansion of computing capacity will make it easier for local developers to create models and AI agents and that the company will support power generation projects to meet regional demand. Financial terms, including the specific investment amount, have not been disclosed.
