OpenAI has released its latest AI model, "GPT-6 Astra." To avoid congestion from concentrated access, the model will be rolled out gradually.
OpenAI states that GPT-6 features significantly improved capabilities for autonomously performing various operations on a computer. This represents a critical advancement toward the practical implementation of "AI agents" capable of executing multiple tasks by interacting with applications and websites. Furthermore, the company positions GPT-6 as its "safest model to date," explaining that safety measures have been enhanced to ensure better alignment with human intent.
Greg Brockman, President of OpenAI, said that we may be in the era of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), a period that may be looked back upon in a few years as the time when AGI first emerged. AGI refers to general-purpose AI with capabilities equal to or exceeding human intelligence.
The model is scheduled to be delivered sequentially to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users within the coming days. It has also been reported that it will soon be available via the OpenAI API and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
