OpenAI has announced "ChatGPT for Financial Services," a service designed to assist in the analysis of financial data and the creation of documentation. Provided as a feature of ChatGPT Work, the service is characterized by its use of GPT-6 Astra's inference capabilities alongside financial data indexed and hosted by OpenAI.
The service natively integrates data from multiple financial information providers, including Daloopa, PitchBook, LSEG News, and Crunchbase. This allows users to read numerical values, tables, and footnotes from financial documents to generate graphs, or export analysis results in formats such as Excel and Word. Additionally, it includes a feature that allows administrators to share corporate templates with their teams to ensure documentation aligns with company styles.
According to OpenAI, GPT-6 Astra recorded a score of 69.9% on "OfficeQA Pro," a benchmark for searching and analyzing information from U.S. Department of the Treasury bulletins, demonstrating performance that surpasses GPT-5.6 Sol and Claude Fable 5.1.
Regarding data security, OpenAI stated that corporate business data is not used for model training by default. Data is encrypted both at rest and in transit, and the system allows administrators to configure the retention period for workspaces.
