OpenAI CEO Sam Altman revealed on David Senra's podcast that handling his email processing manually remains his default approach.

Altman described the current situation as a psychological contradiction: even with agentic AI tools like Codex available to assist programmers with coding, he still finds himself manually scrolling through emails and transferring information between apps. He explained that the feeling that performing these tasks himself constitutes "doing work" or "being productive" is deeply ingrained within him.

Altman expressed the view that the switch to AI would be seamless if better products existed, but pointed out that people are currently straddling two worlds: traditional computer operation and the trial of AI tools.
