Micron Reports Record Fiscal 2026 Results Driven by Surging AI Demand
For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, revenue reached $54.23 billion, a 379% increase compared to the $11.32 billion reported in the same period last year. GAAP-based net income rose to $37.7 billion, approximately 12 times higher than the $3.2 billion from the previous year's fourth quarter.
The growth was heavily propelled by the company's core data center business unit. Fourth-quarter revenue for this unit, which provides memory products for AI data centers, totaled $18.02 billion, marking an 11.4-fold increase from $1.58 billion in the prior-year period.
Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra stated that the company achieved record results for fiscal 2026 and expects an even stronger fiscal 2027. He noted that as AI evolves toward "Super Intelligence (SI)," memory becomes essential for enhancing the competitiveness of customer platforms. To support this trend, Micron is increasing investments in technology, products, and manufacturing.
Looking ahead to the first quarter of fiscal 2027, Micron projects revenue between $61.5 billion and $62.5 billion, with a projected gross margin of approximately 86.25%.
